Easy High Street Steal

This is a t-shirt. Okay, it's a really long t-shirt. A t-shirt dress, if you will. It was fourteen pounds.

I'm planning on making this one of my travel dresses when I go to warm places. I can easily add boots and a jacket over this, conversely, it looks great all by itself. And it was fourteen pounds

I had intended on styling this a little beachier, with gladiators and loose hair, but the weather here, although improving, is still not exactly crying out for gladiators and beachy hair.

But this dress, which was fourteen pounds, pretty much wears itself. Today I went with accents of coral  on my lips and nails, and turquoise jewellery and flats. Job done. And really, you don't even have to work that hard with a print like this. Batik-esque and tribal, this ticks the black and white box, the tribal box, and flirts with the the-dye box as well, I suppose. And I'm thrilled with the length. I love that it goes to the knee. Don't get me wrong, I would have bought it anyway even if it were shorter, but I think it just is a bit more interesting in the longer length.  No wrinkles, no stains...a multitude of sins forgiven. And did I mention that it was fourteen pounds?

The Stuff

Michael Kors cropped denim jacket (eBayed). Similar for a steal.
Turquiose Ring by Barse
Flats: MIA (old). Similar.

    1. I am a US 8-10 and I would say this dress fits well, but is loose enough to breathe, eat, etc. I got a Large. Glad you are liking, and using the raincoat. It went to a good home.

    1. Hi Mrs C. I am actually going to be in Dubai in about 4 weeks time. Maybe ourpaths will cross, you never know. I think it is a type of tie-dye. It looks like Batik work, but it is probably a dye pattern.

  11. Gladiators?? I'm still in Ugg boots! I'm amazed you're only in tee shirt dress and jacket!
That dress will be perfect for summer though and what a bargain! Coral and turquoise is my favourite summer combination.

  15. Lots of glamour for ... how much ... 14 pounds, was it? I can see you in said sandals and beachy hair, or in sleek heels in lots of styles and lots of colors and a little leather jacket ... or a printed scarf and silver flats ... you'll wear it tons.
And all for 14 pounds. Wonderful on you, too.

  16. T shirt dresses are genius! You look very chic in yours. Unfortunately, I always end up with a baggy bottom that looks like I'm still sitting when I'm standing. Perhaps, I just need to find one that has enough stretch in it to bounce back.....(couldn't possible be the size of my bottom that's the problem, wink)
