She's Back!

Yep, back from our trip to Thailand. It was amazing. I have photos, but I need to sort them out and edit. I don't want to turn the blog into the internet version of one of those endless enforced vacation slideshows that we have all had to endure at some point in our lives where a friend or neighbor pins you down and won't let you go until you have seen every single last picture of every meal they ate. Enforced fun. Fundatory. Although I do have many, many photos of different plates of curry for those who are interested.

Anyway,  I figured that in order to properly celebrate my return, I'd wear a tux.

Okay, that's a lie. I actually bought this amazing tux jacket by Brazilian designers Clements Riberio the day we left for our holiday while we were walking about in Glasgow before our evening flight. It was on the sale rack at TK Maxx for £20. No foolin'. And it fits great.  Here, take a closer look.

I didn't really know that much about Clements Ribeiro until this year, but I am hooked. Their quirky mixes of print and texture are right up my alley, and they seem to be masters of my favourite types of garments that blend  bohemian edge and tailoring. I'm hooked.

And looking at these photos, I also need a haircut. Like, really bad. Hopefully this week.

No, that's not a typo....TJ Maxx and TK Maxx are the same store in the USA and UK respectively.

  1. Welcome back, I have been to Thailand a couple of times and always enjoyed it so much.

This tuxedo fits like a glove! And your pumps are awesome, I really like the combination with skinny jeans.

  2. Nice to have you back. Did you redesign your page? Is it my imagination? Great look. Didn't realize that TJ Max was in the UK also. Don't know why? The look is perfect on you. Love those shoes. So stylish and yet cool looking.

    1. Hi Sandra,
I have been making small tweaks to the site over the past few months...perhaps most notably creating a new header logo and my own follow buttons...trying to clean things up a bit....thanks!

  3. LOVE.THE.JACKET! You look fabulous! I may or may not have drooled just a bit on my keyboard as the pics were loading in my inbox! This looks like it will be a very fun jacket to play around with to see what other smashing outfits you come up with & for just £20? Wowsers!

And glad that Sandra asked if you'd redesigned your page. I've been wondering that myself lately & was hoping that you were tweaking your page as opposed to me beginning to lose my mind! LOL

  9. Gorgeous jacket, and I love that picture of the shoe! I don't usually follow certain designers or brands, but the jacket looks very cool. I've realized that the style I aspire to is very similar to yours - I described mine as graceful but funky, and you said bohemian but tailored. I need to buy so many clothes to get there!
