Sponsored Post: Lotus Shoes

This week I am happy to be working with Lotus Shoes, a UK-based retailer with a 250 year history and longstanding reputation for attention to detail, exceptional quality, and fit.  The brands they carry include their namesake brand, Lotus, as well as American brand Naturalizer, Posh Wellies, and mens' line Rombach Wallace.  They also carry a line of handbags that coordinate with their shoes, and the site even features a How to Wear It section that offers styling tips and inspiration.  They even offer free UK shipping on all orders over £40! But perhaps what I like best about Lotus is the fact that their shoes are the type of shoes that you could walk a million miles in and never miss a beat.  Here are my top three picks, and how I would wear them.

I'm a sucker for a classic boat shoe, but my suckerdom is even more apparent when you make a boat shoe in an awesome colour and make it into a slip-on. Done deal. This one comes in four colours, and would simply be divine on a casual summer's day, simply styled with a pair of cutoffs. Divine. Plus, they're boat shoes, so all of your yachtey friends will be pleased with your non-marking soles when they have you aboard for Pimms.  If you're familiar with the Naturalizer brand, you will already know that they make some of the most comfortable shoes on the planet.

On the Lotus website, they have listed these sandals under the heading Holiday Essentials, and how very right they are.  If you do not have a pair of nude or tan leather wedge sandals in your cache, run, don't walk to your computer and dial these babies up! This is a shoe that you will wear until it literally falls apart under your feet….which I believe would take a really, really long time what with all the careful craftsmanship and attention to detail that Lotus puts into their footwear.

Okay, I love this knee-high boot so much I nearly fell off of my chair a little. While I realise that none of us really want to think about colder weather just yet (especially here in Scotland), these would be absolutely killer for fall. The height, the classic shape, there is nothing about this boot that does not deliver. I especially like the stone-coloured leather. It seems just a wee bit unexpected.
