The End is Near

It's been a busy week here in the Highlands, so you'll have to excuse the lag. I'll get caught up with you guys over the weekend, but in the meantime, here's something to make you break out in a cold sweat.

This was on the rack at H&M in Glasgow this week. Remember these? They were on. The. Rack.

As in, new.

Someone actually thought we might want to wear these again.

First the cold, unseasonably apocalyptic Scottish weather, and now this. There really is no other explanation other than this must be the end of days. Get out now while you still can. Save yourselves.

  1. Those things were bad enough the first time ' round. I was a beanpole in 1985 when I wore them, but I still looked like I had a droopy butt and cankles to boot.

    1. I know...and if you are tall, they would pull themselves down while you were walking, the backs of them were always pulled straight and there were little pooches where your knees bent. Awful.

  2. Ah ah, I can't believe you're old enough to remember them; I mean, I wore them to go skiing when I was a teenager and I'm like ooooold !

  8. I despair of the 'tights as pants (or trousers)' trend. It's ubiquitous now, but I still just think it's wrong not to have a bit more weight of fabric and structure covering ones bits!

  9. LOL!!!! I saw these a while ago in M&Co & honestly thought no way!!! I had to explain to one of the young sales assistants that I had done them the first time around but couldn't bring myself to go there again! Ax

  12. Haha ... I hated those! I was always too tall and when I wore them, I had to keep pulling them up at the top. Say it isn't so! ;)
