Sweatskirt

It's starting to rain...like, right now, so you'll have to excuse the graininess of these photographs. Well, not right now, I mean right now when I took the photos.  Right now I'm probably sitting out by the pool on our long-awaited vacation. But we'll talk about that another time.

I usually completely eschew little pieces like this skirt, generally because anything that begins with "sweat" in the material ends up looking a little shapeless. I have a few sweatshirts that are still trending right now, but on my bottom half, I usually opt for things with a bit more structure. That said, I am a sucker for a skirt, and lo and behold, along came this skirt. I like that it has a little shape to it, but not so much volume that it looks like a skater skirt. I have skater skirt issues. Probably because once back in the 90s when I worked on the cruise lines I had on a full, short skirt and a gust of wind came up and the whole aft deck (which was packed with fellow crew and officers) got to see my purple knickers. On the up side, I got a round of applause. #Ijustshowedthewholeshipmybutt

There's no danger of that happening with this skirt. The flare is very gentle and the skirt itself is so easy to put on and comfortable it's ridiculous. Perfect for vacations and everyday life.

  1. The Chartreuse top is the most awesome colour I have ever come across, becoming my "signature" colour and "go to" shade. Your outfit is fresh, feminine and most welcome for our impending summer!

  6. The skirt is cute, but the color of that top is enough to smack those grey skies around a bit. Beautiful on you!
