Simple Yet Effective

This is about as simple as it gets, and perhaps because of that, I actually got this dress in the mail, quickly tried it on, and then sort of set it aside and forgot about it. Why, I do not know, because it is exactly the kind of thing that I like to wear in the summertime. One piece - easy, quick, no fuss...get in, get out, nobody gets hurt.

I got this dress in the Fabletics sale a while back. Yes, I belong to the Kate Hudson Fabletics club (sucker alert!) About a year ago I realized that my workout clothes were in inexcusably sad condition for a person who likes to work out, and I did something about it. I've since slowly replaced them with cute and functional pieces, and an unexpected bonus was that the brand occasionally does things like this dress. I suppose this dress would fall into the athleisure (a word that should be uttered dripping with condescention) category, something that I never thought I'd take on in real life. I am kind of adverse to the whole idea of sport clothes as anything other than things that I sweat profusely in, but at the end of the day, this is still a dress. I'm not going to be doing plyo jacks in it any time soon. At least, not by choice. And if the day should come where I appear on this blog in a pair of sweatpants paired with heels like some future Kardashian doing a Geritol commercial, you have my permission to call me out on it.

  2. LOL, well, thanks for reading. I take it 36 M is not your trouser size, but your age and gender. I lived in Seattle for nearly a decade. Have we met?

    1. We've never met. I don't recall the how, or why of finding your blog. I was simply taken by your unique beauty and wit. Just a fan with a crush.

    1. Thanks very much for reading! Yeah, I guess I can cross "Athleisure" off of the every shortening list of things I will never ever wear….

  4. Is rhe bra optional here or just strapless?

    1. It's business as usual with the bra. The little gap in back falls below where a normal bra strap would show. Not sure you're actually answering seriously, but I'm gonna answer it that way, because that actually is a legit good question that I should have addressed :)

  5. Boob harness optional?
