Having Another Go At It

Sometimes I find myself thinking about a trend that has come and gone well after it has played-out. I'm having one of those moments right now. Remember this?

This is Prada Spring 2011.  I love this.  It has a crispness to it. It is both classic and just a wee bit crazy-foreward-thinking; classic Prada. If you have been reading regularly you will already know that I have a bit of a thing for stripes.  This is one of those looks that I coveted, thought about a lot, but for whatever reason did not follow-through with. So I'm gonna do it now. The whole stripe-mixing, coordinating, but not matching pattern thing.  Because I can.

So I'm thinking that this will be a really good place to start.

Skirt: LaRedoute

Even without looking, I know that I have something in my closet in a contrasting but complementary navy stripe to create this look. Probably one that looks a lot like this, so watch this space!

Earings: Honora, purse: Chanel (vintage), shirt: J. Crew,  skirt: LaRedoute, shoes: Nine West

  1. I loved that Prada campaign. Somehow they took something so basic and made it fabulous. It was one of my favorites. I can't wait to see this outfit on you!

  2. Love it! The brightness will knock Spring early even into Scotland.

  3. I don't believe in trends being played out -- whenever you fall in love with a look is the right time <3
