I suppose I owe those of you who clicked on this link expecting to see Simon Pegg and Nick Frost an apology. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, rent the movie Hot Fuzz the next time you feel like a laugh. These guys are my heroes. Actually, while you're at it, you should probably see Shawn of the Dead too. That's actually my favourite of their films (because zombies), although The World's End wasn't bad either. Plus added bonus Bill Nighy points. Indeed. Right. What were we talking about?
Oh, clothes. Today I decided to jump on the bandwagon and channel the 70s with my faux fur vest (which is both fuzzy and hot) and a pair of wide legged jeans. Despite the official start of March, we are still enduring horizontal sleet and blasts of frigid gale force wind, so the hot fuzz is still very much in rotation. In fact, I had to dash outside in-between some squalls of seriously biblical proportion just to get these photos taken. No foolin'. I'm lucky to be alive right now.
Despite this vest being sort of silly and over-the-top (which is exactly why I like it), this look is actually incredibly easy to pull off, and perfect for a day out where you are in and out of shops and don't want to haul a heavy coat along with you. Plus, it adds an extra layer of protection around your vital organs, which not only keeps you warm, but will come in handy when the zombie apocalypse comes.
