The Accidental Cold Shoulder

This top was a complete accident. I had a day off a while back, and figured it had been a while since I'd been through the local charity shops, so went in to see what was what. I don't really need any clothes right now (an interesting conundrum for someone who writes a fashion blog), but always have time for a little thrift haunting.

I almost left this one on the shelf. I thought that the daisy pattern looked a bit twee at first glance, and wasn't sure about the colors. I'm glad I gave it a second look, because as cut-out shirts go, this one has all the things I like: a flattering neckline, a nice amount of drape without being clingy, and perhaps most importantly, the ability to wear a normal bra underneath without it sticking out.

I'm a fan of an Interesting Little Top for summer. It's really easy to get dressed when all you have to do is pull it on, choose your shoes, and go about your business.

  1. Great top which looks fab on you - I love that ah ha moment when something unexpected stands out and grabs your attention! Also good to see some summer clothes in Scotland. I am currently in Wester Alligin in Torridon clad in several layers of walking clothes and Gortex........
