The Allure of Beads: Satisfy Both Your Inner History Nerd and Bling-Loving Fashionista With These Viking Age Accessories.

I rarely cross-post content between my alter ego author website and this one, but I am doing to today, because none of us would be here if we didn't like a bit of bling once in a while.

In a true display of how much of everything we think we know about modern life has actually been done before, today over at KendallBrooks.com the topic is beads. Beads as Viking Age accessories, to be exact. Turns out, way before Pandora monetized it, Viking women were collecting beads and charms that often had cultural or personal significance.

There are many existing examples in various museum collections around the world—this one is currently on display in The British Museum. To read more about Viking Age beads, read the article over at KendallBrooks.com.
